Bike Palestine will offer the chance to experience the cultural and religious diversity of this fascinating country. Secure and easy cycling in an enchanted landscape rich in history. We will collect you from Jerusalem, a short train ride from Tel Aviv airport, then take you first for lunch in Beit Sahour and then onward to your hotel in Jenin.
The hospitality, laid on by my colleagues at the Siraj Center, is second to none. 3 enticing meals a day of outstanding Middle-Eastern fare- and you’ll get to stay in the very best hotels. Your bike, helmet and high-visibility jacket will be provided- although you can bring any of these items with you if you wish. There is always a support vehicle ready to take you on board should you flag- and a plentiful supply of bottled water.
This is an adventure holiday in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. You’ll enjoy the cycling, the food, the guided tours, the hospitality of the people and the warm Palestinian Sun.
In the evenings you’ll have a chance to chill-out in your hotel or at a nearby coffee shop or bar. You’ll get a chance to shop in one the many souks- picking up local fabrics or exotic Palestinian spices. Each day there will be guided tour of the historic city-centres we visit and a lecture from one of the local historians.

It’s a very, very satisfying thing to do – every day is filled with completely new, diverse, and interesting experiences – stunning landscapes, encounters with the locals, deep cultural insights, and fun times. It’s a top-quality holiday, with exercise-induced euphoria as an added bonus. Chris Hughes, Manchester

Hello- my name is George Snow. I'm a filmmaker living in Italy. I am responsible for organising the Bike Palestine tour in concert with the Siraj Centre in Bethlehem, Palestine.
On the following pages I'd like to give you an idea of what to expect on a Bike Palestine tour- but most especially I want to tell you why I love this country, its people and why I have spent a great deal of my time there- away from my desk and daily responsibilities and reveling in a land steeped in history, endowed with divine scenery and blessed by the kindest and most generous people on this planet.
Hi I'm Nidal. I will be your tour guide on this trip- and I will be driving the support vehicle. I live in Beit Sahour with my wife and 3 children. I really enjoy taking guests around my country. It has been an honour and a privilege to meet so many of you.
It is important to me that you see Palestine at first hand; rather than read about it in the newspapers. We Palestinians are a friendly and generous people even though we live under occupation and we are delighted that you choose to visit our country.
Omar is the driver of our support vehicle. He is a wonderfully helpful soul. Not just a driver but assisting us pack and unpack the vehicle and always ready to lend a hand. He is also a great host- inviting us for tea with his family. I’ve known him for the eight years we’ve been running the tour and over that time I’ve come to know and respect him. He was denied a university education in his youth but today his daughter receives the education he was denied.
