DAY 2 jenin to nablus

In the morning we set off from Jenin and cycle towards Sebastia; an ancient Canaanite, Hellenistic and Roman city. We pass the village of Zebabdeh and then head towards the village of Missilieh. We continue to Sanour and its beautiful fertile plain. Then onward towards the villages of Yassid and Beit Imrin on hilly roads. After the climb (which is difficult in places; but keep in mind the support vehicle is always at our assistance) we arrive at the hilltop village of Sebastia. Sebastia is believed to be the place where John the Baptist was beheaded. We lunch in Sebastia then tour the ancient city and meet the local community. After lunch we cycle to Nablus which is a short distance away (and downhill), tour the old city and enjoy a Turkish bath. Dinner and overnight in the Al Yasmin hotel in the old city.

“I’ve done it four times, and each time it was absolutely excellent - enjoyed it to the max!” Chris Hughes, Manchester
